Mutual fund transactions placed through CompoundIn are executed via the BSE STAR MF platform, a SEBI-regulated mutual fund order routing and execution system used by distributors across India.
Gold, fixed income, and other product categories are accessed through our network partners on ONDC's financial services network. CompoundIn's role in both cases is as the distributor and interface — BSE STAR MF and ONDC network partners handle order routing, execution, and settlement in line with their own regulatory frameworks.
CompoundIn is an AMFI Registered Mutual Fund Distributor and a registered Specialized Investment Fund (SIF) distributor, both under ARN-325252 — we are not a SEBI Registered Investment Adviser (RIA). As per AMFI's guidelines on the role of distributors, we are permitted to provide only "incidental advice": basic guidance to help you choose among a curated list of mutual fund schemes, based on your stated goals and risk profile.
We do not offer, and are not permitted to offer, detailed financial planning or holistic investment advice — those terms are reserved for SEBI-registered Investment Advisers. We also do not use terms like "Advisor," "Financial Adviser," "Wealth Manager," or "Consultant" to describe ourselves, in line with SEBI (Investment Advisers) Regulations, 2013.
Every plan we build is limited to mutual fund, gold, fixed income, and GIFT City/SIF products available through our distribution network — we'll always tell you plainly when something is outside what we're permitted to recommend.
Where CompoundIn provides incidental advice to help you choose a scheme, this is an advisory relationship as defined by AMFI. If our assessment suggests a transaction you want to make isn't suitable for your risk profile, we'll communicate that to you in writing, and ask you to confirm in writing if you'd like to proceed anyway as an "execution-only" transaction.
Each of these covers one topic in full, so you don't have to dig through one long page to find it.
